If you are still not clear about what you want, or are still hazy in where your life is going, here are some things to do which will give you some clues about yourself and where to possibly head.
Many people tell me when I ask the question ‘What do you want?’ that they want to be rich. "I want to be a millionaire."
Many books say, "live like a millionaire in your mind." So you do this in your mind, but then you go back to normal living like a poorer person, instead of behaving as you had in your mind as a rich person.
You are caught by poverty consciousness. A millionaire also has financial obligations and bills to pay, but the point of difference is they don’t think of it from a poverty consciousness. They look at it as a challenge, or a game for them to have enough money to cover their debts. They come from a feeling of confidence that they will do whatever it takes, to pay what they have to. They are not coming from FEAR. All the thoughts of doubt that run through your mind and the voice in our head that tells us we will fail.
Here are some clues to help you if you don't know what you want. And even if you do know what you want this is a great exercise to participate in, as it will show you some patterns about you and fill in some of the blanks.
There is some writing for you to do, and as you write, you may get some good insights about yourself.
Please list your answers for the following questions:
- What TV programmes do you love to watch?
- What books do you read?
- What magazines do you like to read?
- What type of music do you love to listen to?
- What are the subjects you like to talk with your friends about, or listen to them talk about?
- What are the places that you enjoy going to?
- What food do you like to eat?
- What type of clothes do you like to wear?
- What kind of people do you like?
Each category that you listed indicated what you want for yourself. Because human beings only focus on information about what they want for themselves.
Well done!
