Life is busy!
I am just back after six months away, so much to catch up on. Then attending the Japan/New Zealand Business Council 37th Annual Joint Conference.
Last week, I worked at the university with Pasifika, first and second year Business and Law Faculty students on confidence building and leadership skills. I love working with students, they are so much fun and their laughter is joy to my ears. I have found bringing laughter into what people are learning and having fun is conducive to learning. I call it edutainment!
As it’s almost exam time, I ran a session on why people fail at exams. Students identified distractions, placing Facebook as one of the main distractions, which lead into the need for discipline. We looked at good study habits and disciplines on how to change behaviors, to be more effective. I feel so proud of the confidence these students now demonstrate and the clarity in deciding clearly, specifically and positively, what they want.
Thanks for the privilege of letting me share with you my Multinational Chief Executive experiences.
Best wishes, and remember to ‘Be Great’.
