I believe love is the most powerful force on the planet.
Love for me is an all-inclusive experience. I am consumed by it. I tell my wife "I love you" every day.
During her cancer episode, where I hit my terror barrier more than once, I loved her a whole lot more every day. That took our 34-year relationship to a new level of love and respect for each other. I became a qualified butler and chauffeur, and it was a wonderful experience to be in service to her.
I cannot express in words the love, joy and happiness I feel for my two granddaughters. I go to visit them every year, 10,000 kilometers away, for ten to twelve weeks for what I call ‘granddad training’. I learn about Hannah Montana! My granddaughters are always singing, so I learn the latest songs.
One of my great friends, Dr Chuck Spezzano, has written many books on relationships and one of them, If It Hurts, It Isn’t Love, reminds me that falling out of love, breaking a special relationship, can be unbearably painful. How about you? What level of pain did you experience, or were you able to move through it?
