I don’t know where ideas come from. They come from outer space, or God if you like, or from my subconscious mind. But I never go out self-consciously looking for a story. My own experiences are similar to this in that having the ‘power of intention’, being aware of possibilities (being a possibility thinker) and having the ability to not have an attachment to the outcome, seems to be a good formula for me in creating most of the things I want in my life.
How about you, how do you go about creating what you want?
Writer Richard Adams, who has won the Carnegie Medal and Children’s Fiction Prize for his novel Watership Down (which has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide), comes from Berkshire in England, where I went to school.
